Bordon (also known as "Bordon and Whitehill" if the adjoining village to the south is included) is a small town in East Hampshire, about 10 miles north of Petersfield along the A325 (the Greatham-Farnham road), in south England. The busy A325 passes through the town. Whitehill is presumably named after the hill that greets motorists on the main road as they enter the village from the south. Bordon with its encompassing villages has good facilities for its visitors to entertain and to relax them on a visit to the area. What's on in Bordon

Bordon is a small town in East Hampshire, about 10 miles north of Petersfield along the A325 (the Greatham-Farnham road), in south England. The busy A325 passes through the town. Whitehill is presumably named after the hill that greets motorists on the main road as they enter the village from the south. The area known as Bordon & Whitehill generally includes the smaller villages Blackmoor, and Lindford, which are on the outskirts of Bordon. Part of Bordon is in the parish of Headley. There is a bus link to Liphook railway station, and Stagecoach bus 18 passes through the town on the way from Haslemere to Farnham and Aldershot. Stagecoach bus 13 also passes through as it travels between Liphook and Alton. There is also bus 211 which travels between Bordon and Whitehill. Historically, the town was an important army base with a railway station--as is nearby Aldershot, especially during World War II, when the railway line was used to transport personnel to the coast. Bordon Camp was home to the Canadian Army during both of the world wars and the village is dotted with concrete slabs on which tanks and armoured cars were parked. The Longmoor Army Ranges, a large forest with tracks and firing ranges, is south of the town. The perimeter track, especially between Greatham and Whitehill, used permissively by walkers.
